997 Tips vs 997s tips.

HI Guys ,

Can anyone tell me what are the inlet sizes for both 997 and 997S tips? Just wondering what is the difference between both.

Thanks

I am assuming you are going to put c2s tips on your car? If you are go to autozone and buy 2 exhaust adapters for 1.99 the sizes are 2,1/8 to 2,1/4 and you need to muffler clamps. the 2,1/8 side will go over your muffler outlet and you will need to clamp it down. Then take the S tips and tighten it down

Ok to be more precise I just got a set of AWE mufflers but I was told that the Carrera tips wont fit and that I'd need carrera S size tips. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how much bigger is the inlet of the CArrera S tips.

Thanks

You even didn`t try to take stock tips off, did you?

I did not care about fancy tips and as I have fabspeed S sized mufflers stock non-s tips would not fit too, so, it is quite simple - those rings you put on muffler pipe can be splitted in half and after that stock tips will fit just fine.

For your 2009 they are a direct swap: both S and non-S have the same size exit pipe coming off the muffler.

For 2005 to 2008 they are 2 5/16" for the S and 2" for non-S (or 1 and 63/64" to be more exact...)

Cheers
