I've done some work using plastic too fill in the space around the leds and making a turning signal that blends in. I think it's finally starting to look good, the next step is to smooth it all down and paint it satin black.

Seems like not many people are digging this but I for one love it!
Great work CayenneS2083... Personally I prefer the look of the corner lights without the new diffuser... but looks great nonetheless.
Just a thought, but have you considered getting a second LED strip to put directly on top of the DRL one to serve as turn signals? If they make them in orange that would look fantastic. It seems like the housing has the space for it too.
Strife: It's funny you say that about an led strip for the turn signals because I was literally just looking into that. As far as the diffuser goes I did it like that because without it it make it look really rigged and its also very difficult to see the light. I'm currently bondoing it up and smothing it all out so I can paint it. It's actually coming out really good but is soooo much work.

CayenneS2083, interesting project -- it does look like a lot of work. I am researching LED strip lights for daytime running lights (for my 996 C4S). Can you let me know where you found the strip you have?
