Quote: I have had some initial trouble (needed a new fuel injector at 400 miles, sound system Amp crapped out on Monday), but compared to previous cars (Audi S4, BMW 650), this car is an absolutely amazing driving experience.
Congrats on the new car. Can I ask you what prompted the replacement of the fuel injector? What was the car doing?

Sorry for the delayed response...when my fuel injector went, the car basically stopped running. I was on the highway and the power reduced by about 90% I just read on here this morning that there is a small recall on 09 997.2 cs for fuel injector replacements. I am sure my car will be one of them.
I also now seem to have an oil burning issue...going through about a quart every 200 miles or so, never been to the track...just easy everday driving. Dealer has been great, but now I think I need to speak to the manufacturer. While I love the driving experience, I have had a lot of issues with the vehicle. I honestly hope that Porsche steps up....
I dont think you can add factory sat to your PCM. I tried to buy a car w/out before I bought mine & it was only possible to add aftermarket. That was is Sept, so double check w/ dealer.
First of all, great blue color! And for the Sat radio, I know that on the 2008 and prior models they took the receiver from the Cayenne and installed in 911s...so on 2009 models there has to be something you can do.
Your other option, which I did on my 2008 997, was order a Nav-TV unit which gives you Aux input and ipod input, and buy a portable Sat radio unit (which XM sells). Just plug the headphone jack into your aux unit and you're golden! Mine works like CD quality. I assume your 2009 already has the aux interface so you might just need to buy the Pioneer XM portable and mount the antenna yourself.
Congrats! Have to join me and my car friends when we do a cruise in NJ (Ferraris,.lambos, porsche ,Vipers, vettes) we have a blast. All driving, pure fun!

Really nice car, i hope you will enjoy the rest of the car without any more trouble, it seemed to be a little odd you are having all this trouble, but sometime things happens, at least you are willing to work through these problems..... Good luck with the rest of the car, and no question is stupid, the main reason why we are on these forum's, and that is to ask questions, whether they are a big issue or they are a little issue with your car. The main thing is that people on here, are willing to help you through every and anything.

Dave --- Very interesting to hear of an actual real-life issue with the fuel injector. I posted about this about a week ago. I picked up my new '09 C2S a couple of weeks ago, and my service advisor called me last Friday to schedule my fuel injector replacement under a recall that he was notified about. I had it done on Monday and happened to get an Aqua Blue (great color!) Boxster S PDK as a loaner.

To the OP: I think you had a high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) repair, not an injector problem, a problem on some early HPFPs.
I find hard to believe that you are using a quart of oil per 200 miles. Are you sure you are measuring oil level correctly? Before you add oil take 2 or 3 measurements to make sure and never overfill.

Thanks for the great replies...it is appreciated. I spoke to my dealer yesterday, and my car was not one of the recalled 09's for fuel injectors...but it was definitely a fuel injector that was replaced in the first month I had the car. Regarding the oil issue, it has been the dealer that has been monitoring consumption...not just me looking at the electronic dipstick. They actually replaced the sparkplugs this week for the second time...so its not a measurement problem. I am waiting to hear about my next step...I will post the resolution!
