I love it all except for the Mustang steering wheel...
Not a fan of PDK, but the performance is amazing and undeniable...

Sportauto (German magazine) tested one 0-100 kph in 3.1 sec. Fastest they've ever recorded for a stock production car! I figured we'd get a sub 3 sec. 0-60 time. I'm a little disappointed .

The new Turbo looks better than I expected but it still can't compete with the current modded 997tt's . In fact even the 996tt has had so many years of tuner savy upgrades that the 997.1 still has to play catch up in terms of top end or competition stats .
In the wake of the huge depreciation on the Turbo in general I may not ever buy another . I can not see paying 160K and facing a car worth 80K a year later with 10K miles .
The 997S has held its value better. The 997S is more practical for street driving.
Don't get me wrong --I love my Turbo more than any car i ever owned but I had to spend an extra 90K to get it that way . I will not buy another .. but i will keep this one for a very ,very ,very long time.

0-100kph = 0-62.5 mph. So O-60 with that car just might have broken 3 sec. It'll certainly be very, very close....
Even the smallest re-map/upgrade will put the new turbo in the 2.x's to 60

Actually, that Turbo is a bargain! Imagine performance only achieved with cars 3-4x it's price. The murcielago SV 0-60 is 3.2 sec, so as the McLaren F1. And can do 24 mpg! WTxxx! Make way for the the KING!
I was also considering the gallardo and 458 but this is a better value.
Well.......... It's time to get a new garage queen.

Absolutely, that is why in 2012 or 2013 I will definitely start shopping for good used '10 turbo.
As of extreme tuning - it is an interesting subject, as I understand it should be much more difficult to adjust injectors on DFI engine, right?

I actually love the new steering wheel...

Unbelieveble perfomance this car has, I´m amazed how far Porsche get this time. This guys manage to get this car to Carrera GT performance numbers with 120hp less and weigthing much more and even with less gas consunption, what more can we say. Just yesterday I saw a car magazine which tested the 0-200Kph in 10,7sec, I will say it again 10,7 sec...Jezzzz this is serious stuff.
To get a 997.1 TT to this kind of performance, we would gave to look for a US tuner package of 800Hp and European Tuner package of 650Hp if you know what I mean
The new Turbo is the king for it´s price/performance package, even the 997 GT2 is slower than this new beast, congrats Porsche what an amazing job you put together.
