Love it! The GT3RS image is my favorite.
The Porsche Theme is reason enough to get 7!

Windows 7, which is a pretty amazing OS actually, has several look & feel "themes" which the user can customize. Each theme changes the look and sound of your computer. One of the W7 themes is Porsche, and there are 6 gorgeous images (Boxter, Cayman, Cayenne, Panamera, GT3RS, TT) and you can choose which you want and how often you want them to rotate as your desktop image. Certain sounds (like a 911 reving) instead of a beep, are part of each theme, etc.

Since you've already overpaid for your cool white computer, you can run bootcamp and run 7 on it.

Macs are very much like Porsche's. Although expensive to buy, they will give you (computer) years of vicarious thrills while being fun to operate and are very reliable. Also, like Porsche, there are people who put down Mac's who, in reality, are insanely jealous.

I agree. Mac's are like Porsches!!

2 Macbook pros, A Macbook, Time Capsule, 2 Airport Expresses, iPhone, Nanos and an iTouch here... Guess I'm a Mac guy / family. We use Mac's in our house for the simple reason that they are more reliable and very forward thinking in features.

Unlike PCs and Windows, Mac hardware and Mac software are designed by a single company to work together. This is where the reliability and unique features come in. In the Windows world, there are a zillion brands of hardware that are supposed to be compatible with each other AND with Windows... yeah right!

Then again, we Mac owners don't have the Porsche theme!!

Actually the issue is that with ZERO margin on PC's, it has become the an advertising ground. OEM's are paid to put trial versions of software on the box when it ships, becoming a bloated POS. (Why I reimage a new machine right out of the box)

Also, Windows is forced to support a long legacy of applications, where as Mac has historically just given the big middle finger to the old platform and said, you want to move forward? buy new.

I hope my comment on the price of Macs didn't give you the impression that I was putting them down. To the contrary, I have great respect for Apple, and am in fact writing this note from my beloved MacBook. PC's are great for some things, and Macs are great for some things. In terms of a PC operating system, Windows 7 is terrific. But it's not a Mac, nor was it designed to be.

In terms of PC owners being jealous of Mac owners, or Porsche haters being jealous, that's probably an unfair generalization.
