Security Features: Tracking & Engraving

Hello all: Well while I wait for the '10 997 C4S, I have been speaking to my insurance company. Rates are good/decent but they are obliging me to install one of those tracking systems that operate via cell I believe. Personally I had one on a previous car and was not impressed. Can I have some thoughts on other owners if they have had similar requirements and if so if you had problems. Additionally has anyone out there done window engravings instead and if so, doe sit take anything of value? Thanks for your time and reflections!

Have you called other insurance companies to see if they want the same? I've never been asked that, I have two 911's and i just got a couple of quotes on a '10 997 turbo w/no mention of this

I have not or ever done glass engraving and don't think I could,I just do not like how it looks and it may hurt resale.......where-as tracking systems are hidden with NO damage to the car.Also tracking devices are transeferable from one car/toy to another(all bikes,cars,snowmobiles or boats)!

And if it moves I get an email,phone call or text message.The basic system is supposedly real easy to install too.
I do believe,for an extra fee, that you can track/check it on the internet.....I have seen a demo on it and was sooo impressed.
