And holy crap, its like a completely different car. The dealer used a more aggressive setting with the alignment and it is like a completely different car. The front end doesn't have that vague floaty feel anymore, and the back of the car seams to rotate alittle quicker on turn in. It really hooks a turn now. Wow, what a difference.

Same here a few weeks ago. My toe was completely off and when I took it to the track with a new alignment, also more aggressive, it was like night and day.

This is precisely why suspension modifications can make FAR more difference in around-the-track-performance than power modifications can. They are far less expensive as well, although for most, less sexy than the unholy pursuit of HP. Even simple lowering springs for $300 provide a nice handling improvement.
CATTMAN
......and who did the alignment? Over the years I've had experiences with 3 different Porsche dealers on tires/alignment and none knew as much as I did (which is very little); inspired zero confidence in what they said and did.
Oh, come on! Give us some good info on the alignment! I need new alignment for my car as well...

How much camber were they able to get up front?

The dealer I used was Legend Porsche in NY. The mech has like 10 years as a club racer and at least that as an autox'r. He explained what he did and why, and also told me what to expect. He took the time to discuss it which I appreciated.
Ok these specs are based on a bone stock c2s suspension system. The tires are Hankook Ventus v12's. (I know, but they're dirt cheap and received excellent reviews. 2 were less than 1 ps2)
FRONT
camber before -.2 after -.09
caster before 7.5 after 7.9
toe before 0.09 after 0.07
REAR
camber before -1.2 after -1.9
toe before 0.20 after 0.17
The car is super precise now. Everything is "right now", when you turn in. The front bites hard, no floaty feeling, and the rear of the car has this amazing feeling of rotation upon turn in. Not like its gonna come around on you, but more like the rear of the car is assisting with the turn in instead of just following the front wheels. It's a really cool sensation.
I can only imagin what a car with gt3 arms feels like when even more neg camber is dialed in. Hope the numbers help.
If one uses "factory aggressive allignment" for street driving, will you shorten the tire life? Please share your expierence. Thanks.
Yes, the additional neg camber will shorten the life of your tires. The max neg camber you can get with stock arms is just shy of -1.0. in the front and just shy of -2.0 in the rear. The inside tread of the tires are carrying more weight now hence the greater wear. But the cool aid smile you get in the curves is worth it.
