This particular G Bracket only works with the V1.

That's a nice clean look, right under the mirror. I really like your wiring instructions, rep points for you!

Seems like it might work if you flipped it 180 and mounted it above mirror?

Might satisfy both placement camps.

I have a V1. It is the best radar detector by far.

Got my G bracket installed a few days ago by G Rides. I really dig how the V1 just floats in the air and it hugs the bottom of the mirror. Its also more in my line of sight and easier to hit the mute button.

Great workmanship and install.

Props to G Rides.

How does this differ from the BlendMount: http://www.mgtmotorsports.com/?gclid...FShGagodBSuasA

Nicely done!

The blendmount does not work on the Porsche mirror post. Although it is a fine product, I use one on my daily driver truck.

IMHO optimal spot for V1 is right above mirror on its left side. It fits there perfectly using its original big suction clip.

+1. Mine is in the same location and is out of the way of prying eyes and can be partially covered by the sun visor. I work on a federal military installation which frowns on the use of radar detectors, so keeping it out of plain sight is a necessity.

wow, looks great! i think i recall my valentine coming with the hardwiring kit... does anyone know if its easy to order more wiring if it can't be found?

for the one who asked v1 vs. escort. i just got back from mammoth, and the v1 SAVED my a$$ about 3 times, no joke... the v1 is a bit of a pain in the city, even on logic mode u pick up a lot of "noise", but on the open highways, it works like a charm. it has also served me very well driving down the 5 fwy to san diego...
