997.2 cold hesitation
I have a 2009 997.2 C2S and when I start the car in cold weather the car idles fine, but hesitates when taking off for the first 20 seconds. Once the car is warmed up it's fine. The cars at the dealer today and they don't see anything wrong. Anyone else have this problem? Did it get resolved? Please respond soon so I can complain to the dealer tomorrow.

Interesting the 997 does this based on your posts. I drove a 996 C4 as a daily driver through 4 Boston winters, and my 996 Turbo gets a lot of winter use, and I've never seen this in either car.

I wonder if it's DFI related thing. Not bad, not good, just an idiosyncrasy maybe? Mine does that as well and seems to be more noticeable in the mornings where there was a greater temp change from the previous day. Dunno...

I don't want to be rude but I specificically posted 997.2. I did not have this problem with my 2005. I am looking for responses from 997.2 "DFI" owners to respond. It seems a few people are seeing the same problem. Are there people in colder climates that do not see this problem? I am trying to establish a pattern.

Yes, I have it as well (997.2 S) but it is not consistent. When it does happen it occurs with the first or second real (although still very mild) throttle push going away from my house for the first time in the morning. I would also call it a hard hesitation as I am jerked in my seat. Goes away completely after it happens the one time and does not occur again some other morning.

For the OP, my 997.2 DFI is a 6-Speed, non 'S'.

Emissions control has become tighter in recent years and all cars when starting go through a series of fast warm-up exercises with secondary pumps and other crap. In my cars I am oblivious to that as I always let them idle for a good couple of minutes before driving off.
