Lightbulb First Porsche - DME report help please?!

Hello everyone,

I am looking at buying my first Porsche this week from an OPC in London. It is a 2006 997 4S.

I have asked for the DME report but wanted your advise as to whether I should walk, or if the data is okay? Any help is much appreciated

Ignitions in speed range 1 = 785
Speed range 2 = 47
3 = 9
4= 2
5= 2
6= 2

Operating hours range 1 - 1371.900
Range 2 - 1371.900
Range 3 - 936.400
Range 4 - 860.800
Range 5 - 860.800
Range 6 - 860.800

Operating hours counter = 1642.200h

bottom line: How much do you want this car?

The ignitions happened 1/2 the operating hours ago... is there anything in the service history that looks strange around 1/2 the miles ago? All of range 4-6 is for 2 ignitions which is a tiny fraction of a second... chances are nothing happend but I personally would pass on this one just to be safe

Thanks for your reply. The history looks clean I.e. noing that stands out.

The car is exactly what I want but really I wanted to check whether the ignitions in ranges 4-6 are mistakes or glitches as I have read elsewhere?

The car has the 2 year p warranty which assures me. Would it be pedantic to walk away?

I am usually one that doesn't put too much stock in a DME report, my C2S had 65000 level ones and twos (thanks to the extra 500RPM that the Softronic flash gave me) but I didn't have any 5 or 6. If you love the car, I would try and use them to get the price lower, if you can find another one keep moving.
