Headers feedback

Any feedback on X51 Headers ($870) vs. Awe headers ($2200)...is the sizable price difference worth it?

The power gains in exhaust modding an NA P-car is mostly in the cats, as even AWE themselves would tell you. So, I don't see any reason why one would blow $1300 on the AWE set over OEM X51, with the exception that if you are doing a full AWE exhaust system (or think you might) you might say the sound was tuned as a package.

Personally I love the sound of my Gundo/AWE cats/X51 combo and in terms of power it has to be very close to the full AWE package at ~$3k more.

Agreed with Kona Kai. CATS are the HP maker on the 997. Headers, in conjunction with an entire exhaust system make over, will be beneficial. Is X51 headers better than AWE or vice versa? Well, if you're looking for beautiful work and flawless welds with smooth bends, then AWE is better. If you're looking for HP difference, it would be hard to justify the price difference.

I 100% agree with this statement.
