Finally getting my dream car. I will be receiving '06 Black/Black Carrera S hopefully by August 10 from Mckenna in Downey. The wait is killing me. I'm trying to sell my '03 M3 Cab. in the mean time to keep me occupied.
Just wanted to say hello to everyone and I hope you guys / gals will put up with my newbie questions from time to time since I know jack diddly about porsches.
By the way, what do all of you do for a living? Some of your Sigs just blow me away when I read your list of cars you own /owned.
Anyway, I'm trying to climb that ladder as fast as possible as well.
Later.
Tom Kim

Welcome to 6speed... I'm sure you will find this to be a very friendly environment.
Be careful though... Don't let yourself get too addicted, it could take over your life!

Welcome! Like you, I also got a Porsche after having a 2003 M3. While I have a C2 and not a C2S, I can assure you there will be absolutely NO looking back whatsoever! The 997 is lighter, more nimble, and overall much better in overall handling. If your M3 was a 6speed, get ready for short and effortless shifting. The 997 gearbox feels as if it WANTS to be shifted, it's kind of hard to explain until you experience it. Lastly, you will no longer be haunted by the limitations of DSC. Congrats on the purchase and the wait will be well worth it.
