Bluetooth Module?
Hi Gang...I have an 09 C4S w/ Bose, navigation module, universal audio interface and XM radio, but the original owner did not order the car w/ bluetooth....my question is can the bluetooth module be added or is it a software programing thing...my phone pairs w/ the PCM but thats about it...car does not show it as a listed device...also does anyone know what this would roughly cost if it can be done...any help would be appreciated!

i have transit blu
for me , it was the easiest way.
1 cheap- under $200
2 easy to remove and place back to stock if needed.
3 it works 100% with no firmware updates, etc, etc. streams from my iphone 6 perfectly , apple radio, your library, podcasts etc.
cons.
1 sound is only fm quality, its fm modulated, but its also hardwired into your antenna so there is very little interference. the stock bose radio sucks anyway, so if youre an audiophile, you prolly wouldnt want the stock stereo anyway.
2. the mic is not hidden. its small and i could have hidden it with detrimental sound quality.

I'm afraid the OEM add-on isn't cheap, Suncoast sells it here: http://www.suncoastparts.com/product/PCM3BLUETOOTH.html. You would also have to pay your dealer to install/enable it.

I almost forgot to point out: The OEM one doesn't support the protocol needed for music streaming (A2DP) if you were looking for that. It only handles the protocols related to phone calls and your phone directory.

A workaround for a. Expensive part and install is if you have an aux jack use a Bluetooth external adaptor and that's it, cheap and it works!

Tranzit Blu HF
I went with Tranzit Blue HF from ebay. requires you to take the head unit out but, splice into the power wires, sounds hard, but not really. Took me a couple of hours once I figured out how to get the head unit out. Need to push back the locking pins. There are instructions online. Can't be more happy with it. Good luck
