The one on my prior car in the earlier photos came from Suncoast, the large version here, $33 plus shipping. It is a good quality item: http://www.suncoastparts.com/product/REDS.html

I added the "Porsche" script above the 911S after the duck went on.
I went to a local Porsche dealership and made a template off a 991...one of the salesmen is in PCA and always willing to help.

Exactly as I did mine.
That's good advice from gr8scott for a 4S above. I think it works well in that case because the "4S" part stands as a cluster away from the Carrera part and visually it makes a lot of sense. However, I gather you are speaking about a non-4 Carrera S. Using the 4S rule shown above made the last 1 and the S cluster together too much in my mind, breaking the 911 grouping oddly. So I just resorted to my own preference.
Here is what I ended up with, I've seen some similar ones and some different ones. The spacing of the letters here just felt right to me personally. Let me explain my rationale and method.
I experimented with laying out the letters on a piece of paper on a countertop first until I got something I thought looked right, whatever that is. To me, I guess it was laid out so that the 911 part stayed in a grouping but so that the S didn't stand too far out of line or out by itself.
Then I laid down a guide on the deck lid using masking tape and marker tics to create boxed indicators as to where the letters should go. Then I visually tested this again with the letters held with a little tape, then committed to that. Here is what I ended up with. I certainly understand that you and others could easily make different choices that look great too.

i just found an oem 991 that had this identical badging so i used an oem example as the template.
all measurements, oem based templates for different badging types in my album here. http://rennlist.com/g/album/3372540

I guess when you drive a Porsche, your brewskis have to be premium:-)
Thanks SoCal
I have a C4S Cab. My first Porsche and I am wondering why it took me so long to make the choice. Wanted one since I was 15. I will let you do the math, but it is a long time:-)

I like mine just the way it is and I do prefer fine wine over a brewski:-)
My C4S cab looks totally stock except for the engine and suspension that is. (and you can't see them anyways! Just the way I like it:-)
