Value of 2006 Club Coupe
There might be a one of 50 Porsche Club Coupes coming up for sale. I might buy it but really don't know the value of these cars. Approx 30K miles.
Any ideas??
Thanks

The car is worth somewhere between its trade in/wholesale price or however low the seller is willing to sell the car for to how ever high a buyer is willing to pay.
Not sure what (if any) premium a Club Coupe would/could command. The web sites I named above might take that into account.
As a buyer I would probably assign little if any premium to a Club Coupe car simply because often "special" cars are not all that special in terms of holding their value. Condition plays a big role along with luck.
'course the seller is likely to have a different opinion.
Do some research and see how prices/values compare to similar models but of course not a Club Coupe models and then go visit the car and kick the tires and light the fires.

I owned number 10 out of 50 new. I sold it secondary to some special issues that came up. My impression driving it over the first 1000 miles was very positive. However, the blue color is very metallic so you must love blue. The 2006 engine has the X51 package giving it around 385 hp. However it still has the wonderful IMS issue unless the owner replaced the barring. I believe you are better off purchasing a low mileage 2009-2012 997.2 C2S or C4S unless you plan to concour the car. I have owned a 2009 997C4S for five years and love it.

I had to look up what this was....
After informing myself about the car, I would put it price wise with any other X51 optioned cars really. The blue color may or may not add value to a buyer.... and the limited production is just something to talk about, but not really make any huge $$$ difference.

Sorry but while the IMS issue is less frequent in the 2006-2008 997.1s and 987.1's it still definitely occurs. I would not own a 997.1 or 987.1 of any year without doing an IMS update!
The 2009 997.2 and 987.2 models have a totally different engine referred to as a 9A1 without an IMS.
I sold my 2006 C4S cabriolet and purchased a 2009 997.2 coupe which I will never regret.

When the smaller single row IMS was updated in the M97 engine to a larger bearing the IMS issue related to the early 2005's went away. On the larger bearing they are not serviceable unless you crack the case which is not required for the smaller bearing.
So in the 2006+ you already have the fix.

I agree with SoCal C2S that somewhere in the 2006 manufacture year Porsche updated the engine with a larger bearing for the IMS BUT some of those engines still have failed. The 2006 Club Coupe was produced early in the 2006 model year and may or may not have the updated bearing. I must state that the 2009-2011 997.2 have a totally different engine without a IMS and the 9A1 engine also has direct fuel injection with a horsepower increase and better fuel economy. It does not make sense to pay more for a 2006 Club Coupe. unless you really like the really highly metallic blue color which will be very difficult to match should it be required.

Club Coupe 2006
Did you ever sell your #10 Club Coupe? I have #11 with around 35k miles-fully optioned to a list cost of $117,500
No idea if they are recognized as a collector car.
