Crazy how close they were. The Z needed so much more power to keep up with the GT3.

Of course, what they did not show is repetitive laps. Heatsoak would take over that blown motor in no time, where as the porsche should keep on trucking...

The sound of the GT3 cup car is stunning, and with a bit more power it could easily beat the z06.

No **** sherlock lol. Dump another $150k into the Z06 and it would eat the cup car no matter what it had done.

Tires
Noob here so go easy on me.
I own a 01 C5Z so one would think i am baised towards the vette. Bang for the buck it is an amazing car. The problem is noone else is talking about the fact the P-car is running R888's which are just R-comp tires and the Vette is running Michelin SLICKS. The P-car doesnt need anymore power it just needs equal rubber and it would no doubt win. Both however are beautiful and amazing cars.

Very true, there's a huge difference between Michelin slicks and Toyo R888'w.The Vette is still pretty damn impressive considering it took out one, if not the FASTEST Cup Cars in the world.

You dont have to tell me how impressive it is! As soon as i saw it i sent it to a buddy with a 996 Aero. I just had my car at Mid-Ohio on 615's and had a blast. Bang for the buck i really think anyone would be hard pressed to find a better 4 wheel solution. Does make me want to do a few things to mine though.

i hope you werent expecting an arguement! haha. im fairly new to that world and heard good things. I wanted to run a street tire just because they are more forgiving for the first year. Next year i am taking a full set of different wheels and tires to drivers events. I am really not impressed with the tires at all but what do you expect at that price point.
What do you run?
