SWEET! ...remember it was very hot/humid when you guys dyno'ed so therefore there is more power left in her at the same boost. What was the RWHP?

642 @ 28psi. Thats with stock camshafts! I will be upgrading the camshafts, I believe we can see a big gain from that upgrade. I know you can vouch for that! I can go up to 32-35psi still, so there is still a lot of room.
I doubt that LOL. Still I appreciate the thought of being different.
I know you doubt it, everyone believes only a mighty V8 is capable. Truth is that platform is not as stable as a internally balanced motor like the Inline-6 2JZ-GTE. I am a tuner shop and experience counts more than cubic inches. We work on my V8s and we are building a Twin Turbo 383 right now. For whats its worth they will never be as reliable do to the nature of the design. We do V8s still because customers still demand them. Many people aren't use to drastic changes, we cannot accept whats not the norm (as this case here).
Many people couldn't accept what Shelby did to the A/C cars from Britain. Putting in a domestic V8 in a British car! Hey but now that car happens to be one of the most sought after collectible cars in history. But nobody says anything about that because we are Americans. I'm sure the English didn't like that idea either.
Hotrodding is making the best with what you got. What we got is one of the best tuning engines in the world. Its always been about mixing and matching aftermarket parts. We aren't building a stock car, far from it. Change isn't taken lightly with everyone and we know that.
Lets see the Worlds fastest Street Car in the Standing Mile happens to be a Supra w/ the 2JZ-GTE. I don't see any V8s in the top 3 rankings for fastest Street Cars in the standing mile. The fastest street car in the world is held by a Supra with full interior, a/c, stock block, stock transmission @ 229 MPH.
The fastest stock supra with stock block and transmission runs 8.49secs in the 1/4 mile at 172mph. Now show me any stock block V8 car in the world that can run that with a/c, manual transmission, stereo, full interior intact!
In regards to the 2JZ engine, how many V8s can take down a Turbocharged Superbike or let alone a stock 1 Liter Bike? Youtube this and you will be surprised how many you find. If this engine doesn't earn any respect I don't know what else can.
The 2JZ engine surprised a very famous local Viper tuner. There is a lost video of a Supra taken out a world famous twin-turbo viper. He thought he was unbeatable. Couldn't believe a street Toyota Supra could take out his 1,000HP+ Viper. He requested the video to never be posted. He was beaten by a user that posted in this very same thread!
Yes its been dynoed, its make right over 800BHP! I think it can take on 85-90% of the V8s out there. With the 6 Speed Getrag the gears go by very quickly. We were short shifting the car in the videos before 6k RPM because it was spinning out. We have a another 1k RPM left to go!
Nice! I feel the opposite of most here. I think more Muscle Cars should do these proven high HP and high efficient conversions. Lots of arguments both ways for sure. Great work evsmotors!

I think you missed his point. It doesn't matter what is faster in this case. The sound of that I6 alone kills it IMO. If that car had a big block or a LSx it would be even better IMO. But to each their own right?

Yes you are right everyone has a choice. Just mentioning the reason for the build something unique and fast. Our next Camaro will please you!
Just a little 8 second street car. There's your answer.
Again, I respect all types of cars. Unless they are FWD lol! Your Camaro is different, and fast. But there are plenty of rediculous V8 street cars out there, reliable and proven.
Wasn't ****ting on you or the car, my point was your figures are a little modest IMO.

To me, you just took the muscle right out of musclecar with that. Just doesn't sound right.
But it is unique and it's nice to try something new. I'll give ya that!
