I've lurked for a long time on 6speed. My cars don't really fit the bill of 6speed. I do however own a 69 camaro and have been following the build of that car for a long time.

That cars been revealed and hyped for over a year and its just now hitting the dyno and the first driving footage is shot. You guys have built a lot of hype for the car, I'm just amazed these are the first performance figures we're getting. Dyno figures.

Take it to the track. I'm not trying to troll EVS. You guys build some great cars, and this is a fine example of a stunning build. I just want to see how the car performs. Prove its not a dyno queen like most supras

As controversial as that car has been, surely Camaro Performers or one of the many magazines would be interested in giving you coverage.

Yes it was mentioned at the beginning of this post in the second sentence. 800BHP or 642RWHP. Its not even tuned to max power. We will be doing that soon when we upgrade the cams.

I meant something other than dyno #s.

0-60?
60-130?
1/4 mile?

That is a rude remark and not necessary. Especially to a forum sponsor that supports the very forum you love to post on. This forum exists because of sponsors. Dyno numbers mean a lot to people they want to know how much power a car makes. You don't buy a sports car and not want to know how much HP it makes. You just have a biased opinion on this custom build. You figure the car weighs 3,500lbs and has 800BHP, 6 speed Getrag Gear Ratios and a Eaton 12 Bolt Posi with 3.55 Gears you can figure a good estimated to 1/4 mile run. You've already have issues with this car being a custom swap so its always going to be a negative response from you. Whether this car runs 9s or 10s you will have something else to say. We have plenty of big block V8s in our garage and a Twin Turbo V8 in the works. I could tell you that this 2JZ makes more power reliably but that won't change how you feel. If you don't have anything nice to say its probably better you don't. Thanks for looking.

This car is built for a customer and that is up to him to decide if he wants to do that. He wants it tested for HP so that is what we are doing. The car will be dynoed again with some new upgrades so we are expecting 1,000BHP very soon.

You are a forum sponsor? Then why does it say registered user by your name just as it does mine? Just curious...

Bummer the customer doesn't want to run any real performance #s for this car.

Maybe he has nothing to prove to anyone? The car is for himself. OOoops forgot we decided not to renew our membership here. Either way it was a obvious rude remark with a very biased opinion. Not that I look back at the posts you are biased as well! If you guys don't like the car I think its better not to even post in the same thread. We won't agree on anything. See us over at teamspeed.com and bimmerforums.com.

Wasn't meant to be rude....my bad.

But it has a 2JZGTE in it, those are notorious for being dyno queens. I know 600 rwhp Supras that barely run 11's.

As I said before, I don't agree with the engine choice. But the quality of the work looks to be top notch and the car itself is badass. Just missing two cylinders.

Nice rant about being a forum sponsor when you aren't even one anymore.

It was very nice of HotRodGuy to share with me an article that was written about custom Hot Rods and the future of the industry. There is a little paragraph about our car in it as well..

http://www.raceindustry.com/newslett...newsletter.php

"
Hot Rod
So what will the next generation of hot rodders be? What's going to happen when the great metal artists dissapear? What happens when the children no longer know the history behind the deuce coupe and what it's brought to the industry? Who will be around to continue telling stories about the legendary tales of a Saturday night out on Woodward ave? Let's be realistic here, it is going to be very interesting to see what will and what won't survive 10-20 years from now."

"I present to you a creation that I just think was to cool to not share with others. This vehicle has brought a lot of discussion around; among my friends it's made people angry and others confused. The guys down in Texas at EVS motors have created a great mix of great American iron with a Japanese legend. A 1967 Camaro powered by a 900 HP Toyota Motor (I can't imagine what many of you are thinking, the comments I've read on various forums across the internet show a wide range of ideas). But let's not kid ourselves, what was the original mindset of the first true hot rodders? Work with what you can find. So why not take a two legends and create something truly unique and they have done it to perfection. They've brought together the beauty of the lines of one of the classic muscle cars and given it complete modern technology, and great influence. I can only hope that the next generation can do the same, create uniqueness that blends what's new with what's old to only expand on the legendary vehicles that have graced the lust of the next generation to move on to create their images of "Hot Rodding" perfection."
