Very interesting, first of i think that your Camaro is Hot,second i would'nt have known it was running on the 2JZ,because it sounds like a high revving V8 to me (ala M3,S4 etc). Inresting considering the new Camaro will have a V6 option (maybe even V6 Twin-Turbo/Turbo from the Solitice GXP in future).

I don't think it sounds anything like a V8, but then again it's not intended to.
It's a cool project, but I would just like to see some performance numbers from the owner because in that driving video it seems to me that thing is making a lot of noise but is not really accelerating anywhere! LOL
Anyway, it's unique and a pretty cool concept.

I agree, it in no way sounds like any V8 to me....

But I do like the refined "noise" of a Porsche too.
But my point in this post was that when under WOT in the video, it is making a lot of wastegate/exhaust/something noise but usuall that is accompanied by nice accelerations. Here, I just don't see it!

its my understanding the owner also has:
'68 Camaro RS/SS Big Block 454 Old Fashion Carb
'69 Camaro RS/SS Big Block 502 Fuel Injected
'69 Camaro RS/SS Twin Turbocharged 383ci FI
so unless I'm mistaken, its no surprise why this cars being limited to a dyno.

at least the guy loves his first gens.
The Twin Turbo '69 will debut next year! I think everyone will like that one. The 2JZ is just so different, its not for everyone. Yes I do love my first gens.

There is a lot you do not know, so I would be so quick to make any judgments. Ask the worlds most famous AEM Tuner about the car first hand and he'll tell you how strong and fast this car is. In fact we are going to be tuning the car again with some new upgrades next week. We are expecting 1,000BHP next.

seeing as you own both cars, why wouldn't you go out and pit it against your 502 first gen... seems such an easy thing to do. I'm really not trying to troll you, like I said I've followed the build for a long time. I also own a 502 first gen, and in the videos, the 2jz car does not pull that hard.
Lots of numbers talk with this car... Its like the GTR of first gens
Yeah if you really want to view it that way go right ahead. Can't change your mindset, there will always be bias in regards to our build and we already planned on it. Some people will doubt this no matter what we do to prove it. So why bother wasting time proving to people who don't even like the idea. We don't need to impress anyone but our customers. The true enthusiast/hot rodder will have an open mind.

I am open minded and can appreciate the build. I just appreciate more results and delivery and less talk and marketing...

Nobody is marketing here. Just showing what we've built just like you.
Sure everybody has a lot to learn, we live and learn. Also people should learn to change, change is good so embrace it. At least we have the determination to try something different than modifying a V8 like 99% of the other tuning shops.
BTW, I wrote the article in case i didn't mention that when I sent you the PM It's for my companies monthly newsletter that goes out to about 100,000 people
