Well this forum is a Porsche forum. This section is only an added bonus to this site. If you want all domestic go to protouring.com they'll have plenty of what you are looking for. I know your intentions and its obvious. So its better you don't ask anymore. Nobody asked you to love this car, but its rather annoying you get in on every thread of mine about this car. You don't see me have any interest in your thread about your Camaro. Maybe you should leave this alone as I have left your car alone. Geez... (giving you the same response back thats all)

If you really are that technical maybe you should buy one from us and you will get all the details.
All your threads? You mean 2?

My intentions are really not as bad as you think here. You really are pretty defensive I guess. Oh well.

But you must have expected questions about this car before you built it. That seems pretty obvious.

Oh and thanks, but I know where the musclecar guys hang out and which forums they are on. I don't expect much here.

Buy something from you? Ha. Don't flatter yourself.

I do kinda like your interior though. And lose that front chrome bumper!

I'm done here. Enjoy your Camaro.

I'm glad you are done. Have a good day. I prefer you not to post in these threads. You see we don't care about posting in yours. We expect questions and we answer them, just not yours. We don't expect you to buy something from us. It was a sarcastic remark to you. Cheers...

The article written by Race Industry about Hot Rods was right, this car does get people angry and confused! But again its the people that are angry and confused that bring this car to everyone's attention anyhow and it is a benefit to us.

We have no problem answering your curiosity, it is setup that way for magazine advertisements and marketing.

I've read your other posts regarding other domestic V8 cars and you don't troll on anyone else. You obviously a bias user and it really shows. Your like a automobile racist! lol Nothing you post just like the other guy is ever constructive. Have a nice day.
He asked the question because a 20% loss is ALOT. But you think a STD measurement is more accurate and widely used one then SAE so who knows.

Again, the car is nice, real nice. Yes, I don't agree with the engine choice. That is besides my two points above. No biggie....

I would rather go with an american engine than with a supra engine. Good numbers anyway.

love the car......i enjoy seeing projects that are outside of the norm.....especially a project that annoys the fanbois on both sides (import and domestic)

however, i think the 20% drivetrain loss is high......isnt the general rule of thumb 12-15% for a manual and 15-18% for an auto?
hell, the tranny in the new GTR is AWD and only has 10% loss.

i wouldnt be surprised if it engine dynoed closer to 950-970 crank hp.....still very powerful !

Oh yeah that's part of the enjoyment is the controversy it brings. The more they hate on it the more coverage it has been getting. The worlds oldest and best muscle car magazine is going to have an excellent feature on it! HOT ROD! If someone reputable in the industry such as Hot Rod recognizes our car as a real Hot Rod than their opinions count the most. They are the pioneers of the custom muscle cars for the last 60 years. This Camaro also won 4 1st Place awards by the National Custom Car Association (NCCA). The guys on the other side of the fence won't like it, but it won't matter what they think because it doesn't affect the popularity of the car. They'll be buying the magazine with our car in it too. They are just fueling the fire.

We do the same type of custom cars all Camaro builders produce. We wanted to do something to challenge ourselves. We all have V8s in them with a built motor and add a supercharger or turbochargers. Nothing out of the ordinary. How often do you see a custom Camaro without a V8? Probably never. How often do you see a Camaro with a legendary 6 Speed Getrag? Never. There will always be someone disagreeing with our build, we planned on it and wanted it. If everyone can agree on our car there won't be any controversy about it. It will be another Camaro with a built V8.

Does anyone say that the Bugatti sucks because it is a French car with a Volkwagen engine in it? They don't because they were told to accept it when it was first produced. People are stuck on the mindset that a Camaro needs to have a American V8 engine in it. If that were the case individuals like Carroll Shelby wouldn't exist. Think outside the box. lol Its hard for some individuals to do that.

The drivetrain loss for a Supra setup is 17%-18%, on the domestic custom driveshaft and rear end we add roughly 2-3% because there is more weight in the drivetrain and friction. The GTR is a extremely efficient setup and cannot be compared to a 40+ year old design. Hence why it can get up and go with 480HP only compared to cars that are much lighter with more HP.
