Wow thats crazy performance. Doesn't look like that Ford GT was even using all 21lbs or boost! My biggest problem with a viper though would have to be downforce and I can't really find any aftermarket stuff to help it stick Looks like if I was to get a viper I'd have to go ACR. (and there's nothing wrong with that!!) Thanks for sharing!

Snakeoylproducts.com is a good start. Either is not much difference from a stock srt-10 to a ACR than you can simply bolt on or more so take away.

Have you ever driven a gen III or IV Viper? Seems all the mags rave about its stability especially compared to the pre 08 Z06's and Gen II Vipers. Not getting at you Mentos just wondering cause its the second time Ive seen you say this. Quite a few articles out there to the contrary of what you say especially about the Gen III and IV. Vastly improved over the Gen II's. Those 200mph+ Vipers dont have ACR downforce yet they seem to remain stable for more runs etc lol...BTW that downforce will kill your top end badly so if you are going to do races like the one in this vid it would be pointless.
As for the Video there is no way that GT was making 960rwhp on any of those runs imho. TT would own a SC big time especially up top with the hp levels so close. Not taking anything away from that nasty Viper. The rematch will have the GT spanking the Viper if the GT is running right. Good thing this wasnt a Turbo Viper lol.

LOL. This is a Super charged Viper vs a TT FGT.
Too many variables in the Supra vs Viper highway wars to say with conviction that a big turbo Supra will take down a TT Viper. Either one is more than capable of winning against the other.
Case in point: Big Turbo Supra vs TT Viper. Obviously big hp difference and I can find vids of Supras beating Vipers so this isnt being used to biasly prop up Viper. Both bad to the bone. Both seems to take a backseat the TT Gallardos lately as the ultimate highway killer from what Ive been reading.
One of my fav Supra vids. This Supra would give the Viper in the above vid a good run. Closer in hp to the Viper. Both around 1300rwhp. Look what it does to an LP640....Gotta love that 2jz angry Killerbee sound.
I didn't even realize I posted "TT" just a typeo. Of course I've seen those videos a thousand times over. Orlandos car is no joke. Thats for damn sure, but even he has been beat... By a Supra nonetheless.
I'm just saying, Vipers and Supras own the streets. I'll take the Viper any day of the week.

Did somebody say Big turbo supra's. Ok you have just walked into my ex-world. Let me start off by saying I was doing big HP 400HP RX7 3-gens and 1100hp Supra well before first Fast and Furious movie was made.
Here is one of my past Big HKS TT supra. I had built this beast in 2003 and sold it in 2005 and made about 1100BHP.I have built the hottest thing around at the time. Because HKS design GT twin turbo where rare. Everybody in the time and now typical went with the old T78 (laggy) when i did something different. I had everything this car pulling apart in my Supra to do all these mods, engine out (built motor), rear diff, etc. When I tell you I can leave burnouts marks in the highway moving at 80-90MPH, I am not lying and wish I have gotten video of it. I took down everything that was modded, charged mustangs,Vettes,heavy modded ZO6's and WS6, etc. I was making believer out of them.
But still a properly built Viper GTS, SRT10's are very hard cars to beat. And I still always feared the modded Viper. Today I am trying to stay away from designing and TT'ing my already modded SRT10. I have gotten into enough trouble in my Supra and big single turboed RX7 at the time to do it again nowdays but hey.

Thanks for the info Snakebitten. I didn't take it coming off as you getting at me at all. I haven't driven a gen III or gen IV viper. I was looking at the gen II GTS's. I just love the lines and everything. The top speed things like in that video for me is neat to watch but in reality if I had to choose I'd rather blast around the roads near me and my girlfriend's which are twisty and fun rather than a high speed jaunt on a highway. Just tickles me in ways I enjoy more. I am looking into 06 Z06's because of them being lighter than the others with the only real downfall being the roof's flying off but that was a recall and if it hasn't been done would be free for me. Right now that's at the top of my list but if I see the perfect 996tt I'd probably jump at it. I might have to wait a few more years for the viper however I have huge appreciation for them and probably always will.
And thank you Immanuel for the link. I'm going to spend some time researching this a bit more now that I know options are available!
