Cool Bone stock 2010 Chevy Camaro capable of running 12.87 1/4 mile

It's now been proven that the 2010 Camaro can run sub 13 second 1/4 miles.

Record breaking run by a Camaro5 member: camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33047

The official time was 12.87 @ 109.08 at Cordova Dragway Park, on a car with only 500 miles and bone stock.

Pretty impressive #'s for a stock Camaro

It was bound to happen. Many ran 13.0's in bad DA. With a DR, and a cold air there 12.60 cars. A buddy has one that ran 12.52 already.

gm was running 12.7 at 112 in testing. its only a matter of time before we start seeing these times at the low altitude cool and sticky tracks.

Its about time, those first times w/ the ls3 were just horrible... w/ cpu cracked and tuned, those cars should be in the low 12's w/ just CAI, tune, dr's... may get into 11's w/ wt reduction and maybe a solid rear.

Five years ago who would have ever thought that we would have retro Challengers and Camaros...

Hell who would have guessed that you could buy a four door Cadillac that runs 12.3 off the show room floor...

The world turns

How is 13.0 @ 110 for a near 3900 pound car "horrible"? It's the magizines anyway, remember what they got for the '03/'04 Cobras, low to mid 13's.

All these new cars, gm, dodge, they have soo much torque management built into the stock PCM calibration, you'd be surprised with how much simply removing that alone, will change the way the car performs dramatically.

Exactly. The stock software does nothing to help a real performance enthusiast.

Good point, especially in the LS3's. The A6 C6 guys are picking up alot with a good tune.

I see the 370z wont handle it either along with the Mustang. between 109-112mph is moving for that kinda money. Best Ive seen from the Mustang and 370z was 108mph and neither hit 12's. Id suspect it will handle better than the Mustang but not the 370z. So many compare the three lately. Nice to see some great numbers from the Camaro. Three great bang for buck cars to choose from...
