98 Vette headlight problem

Hey guys, was wondering if someone could help me out. I was installing an HID kit on my brothers 98 Vette and lost power on the driver’s side low beam headlight. The high beam works fine. I checked the bulbs and ballast and they are both fine. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Check all of the connections on the HID kit. I had a similar problem with my kit. It turned out to be a dislodged metal prong (or whatever you call those things) in one of the connections.

Thanks. I checked all the connections and was able to get it to work last night. The problem now is that the lights won't close now unless I put the stock OEM bulb in

That's weird. My buddy had some in his RX-7 and his lights would close (not the same car, but you get the idea).

Is it a clearance or electrical issue?

That's common on C5's. Can't remember the fix, search Corvette Forum dot com.
