I don't have one, but my tuner hates them and recomends that no one gets them, I saw one installed on one of his clients vettes it was just crappy turbo really close to diff, plumbing is horrible tubes go in and out of body panels. The car in question had it just installed, and it was in his shop that week. Not a quality system.

These people are just trying to help you understand the kit from their own first hand experiences and knowledge of them. I'm sure if an owner had something to say they would but since nobody is responding that they have or do own them maybe that's a clue to their popularity.

With all sincerity,
Thank you all for your input, but I really would like to hear from a STS Turbo Kit owner. Maybe no one on 6speedonline owns a kit, and I will find my info elsewhere. But the "I heard from a buddy that has a cousin who's neighbor has a kit" stories really don't answer my questions or help me. I want straight feedback.
Not trying to be rude, just honest. Hope you guys understand.

Well, you really need to take a trip over to corvetteforum.com and search the C5 Forced Induction forum.
You will get pros and cons on the STS setup.
From the dyno graphs and owner input I've seen, there are some who really like their STS.
Honestly, most people who buy a particular kit are not too eager to admit they might have made a poor choice, no matter which kit it is.
Based on the dyno results, they don't appear to be too laggy, and the guys that have them generally like them.
I know there are some shops building similar rear-mount setups that make great power and run very hard, but that may not be the case for an off-the-shelf STS kit.
I would always recommend a front-mount kit like TTiX, just based on the amount of plumbing and cutting/modding required for the STS.

First and foremost, I do not own an STS system but,..... I have installed ALOT of them, on various different platforms, including the Y body, which is the Corvette. In doing so, I have a pretty good understanding of the system,.. and the customers feelings on the kit. I will say, alot of the cars I have installed these on are cars with little or no mileage, usually. Therefore, the car needs to run, and drive like stock when I give it back to them. The STS kits are an all around pretty good kit.
In my experience with our customers, everyone has loved the kit. I will say, none of them race there car or trucks. It's merely for some more power, looks, sound, etc. It is not an out of the box, race kit.
Yes, it can be upgraded to be a more serious of a contender of a kit but,..from my understanding it requires changing quite a bit. East COast Superchaarging has a kit that they havea modification for,.... you might want to look into as far as making the STS kit better.
My vette guys that have the kits on there car,...seem to love them. I hear them telling other people about them, or friends run into them on the street,...and they boast that they love it. In my experience driving them, they like the longer gears. Meaning, 1st and second gear are soo short, not alot of boost is built,..and it doens't seem to pull as hard. 3rd gear and higher, seem to set you back in your seat alot more. I think ECS has a mod to hel with the boost in a low gear.
But, in my opinion, the best bolt on and go kit, that doesn't require moving this, and moving that,...is the TTiX twin turrbo kit. It's the best performing for the most part other then my kit, which is a race style tublar manifold pro turbo kit(requires alot of mods to engine bay).
The is a nice,...hey look, I own a twin turbo vette kind of a deal,... a TTiX is more like,...yeah, I got a twin turbo vette bitch, what?
One inspires more confidence when making power. But, again, the rear mount turbo setup has propelled some cars into record breakin speeds.
