ive driven both and i found the Vantage to be WAYYYYYYY more fun and a true sports car...which it is, the DB9 is a cruiser IMO like the bentley GT....both fast in a line, both sexy...but i found the V8 vantage to be much more my type than the DB9 coming from my family owning a 911 for 6 years. oh and depreciation sucks like hell so either way make sure ur keeping it for a while and enjoying it

I personally have spent a lot of time in both vehicles. IMHO, the Vangtage is like the SLK and the DB9 is like the SL. I personally prefer the look of the DB9 much more over the AMV8. I understand that the AMV8 may be more tossable/nimble but the DB9 looks much more grand, and the sound of 12 cylinders is purely intoxicating.

I haved owned both and agree that the DB9 power is intoxicating. I think the OP said drop top in both- the DB9 volante has a lot more chassis flex than the vantage. Also, it just doesn't look as right as the Vantage as a convertible.

You will lose a lot of money if you trade from an 08 vantage to an 09 within 6 months.

go with the Vantage and get a Supercharger kit from ESX. 470 whp and better handling than the db9.

I've been looking at an 06-07 Vantage myself and am thinking that adding a quicksilver exhaust will do just fine for me. Although I have no experience driving one myself, I'm sure it'll be more fun than my current G35 coupe will ever give me...

Good luck with your decision; let us know what you decide to go with...
