Aston Martin One-77
New limited edition AM that makes a DBS look like silly money.
First car fully under new ownership. Check Cost above any other AM in history. Check (~$2M) Sexiest AM in history. ...arguable. I hate to say it, but I feel like it looks too much like a Corvette. I think it's the fin (?) that comes off the front fender back onto the door. http://www.astonmartin.com/thecompan...d-70d1eafc6558 |

Is this the DBX or is that yet another car? I thought that the next super car from AM was going to be a twin-turbo. Where did the 2 million dollar price target come from? I can't find that number anywhere. I was hoping that the next car would come in at 350K. Isn't the Bugatti the poster-child for 7 digit money loosers? I figured the presence of a new top car on a different platform would bring the price of the used DBS down in the next year or two. Does anyone have more explicit info on the next super AM?

I believe the ~$2M came from autoblog.com. I assumed this was a unique edition car rather than the next top end production vehicle. Think Ferrari FXX?

I don't think this is the DBX. I was under the impression that the DBX was the code name for the upcoming Vanquish replacement.
I want to see more of this car. From that render it looks like nothing more than a DBS with the front side paneling of a Corvette. |

Drop some 21" inch crome wheels - yep I had a Hot Wheels car just like this back in the 70's ... bet it could do a real double loop w/ 700 HP ...

According to Autocar the 77 will cost about $2,400,000. LOL,love it but i think fAston will need to do better then that seriously for that kinda of money,$800,000 at the very most. It looks like a New Vanquish which would good if they make more units,it would be great competion for the Ferrari 599 and the coming M-Benz SLC and current SLR . This would be a perfect time for Aston to enter the REAL Super GT (the DBS is'nt a Super GT like the M-Benz SLR/722 or the Ferrari 599). Anyways,we'll hear more.

I don't like it either. The DBS looks a lot better.

I don't love it. Not sure I hate it either, but I feel like it's a cross between an Aston, GT-R, Infiity G37 and a Corvette.
Is that official or a render speculation? Possible good news is that a lot of that design is forced for performance and won't translate to future "mass" production models. |
