Question Issue with leather interior

Hi folks,

I have an '08 AMV8. With the weather getting colder, I have noticed some "looseness" in the leather covering the dash on the passenger side dash.

Specifically, I had not driven the car for a week or so and it was parked in a garage with the passenger side window open (garage is closed and I live in N. CA)

When I first got in to drive it, the leather was extremely loose. However, during the day it "tightened" back up to almost its original form.

Anyone else had this kind of issue?

Thanks!

Unfortunately this is commonly reported. The reason is that the glue used from the factory to mold the leather does not always dry completely and may leave slack in the leather.

This allows moderate temperature changes to have a sometimes drastic effect. "normal for a handbuilt car" is the typical stonewall response. What can you do (sigh)

Ugh! I thought I remember seeing the same thing on a DB9 I drove on a test track. I'll bring it up with the dealer at my 1K service and see what they say
