With regards to the MP3 kit, see the information below:

The kit only works with apple ipod products.

There are two options available, if you have a sportshift gear box on your vehicle, then the ipod connector fits within the area where there would be a gear shift on a manual car. If you have a Manual gear box, then the product is designed to fit into a new carbon Fiber center console that replaces the one which has the cup holders in. On both these products there is a hidden digital screen that displays the connecting frequency within the ashtry compartment. The product uses a Smart Scan technology that constantly connects your ipod music to your premium sound system.

The product also charges your ipod while plugged in.

There are no visible wires with this kit, it is fully wired under the center consoles.

The prices are as follows:

MP3 connector (sportshift gearbox only) $299.99
Carbon Fiber Center console including MP3 connector $1199.99 (TBC)

Yes, since we had several hundred requests for a kit that could be fitted without the charges from a dealership (which we all know is rather high). I had the kit running in my Vantage for 6 months to check its tollerance to jumping frequency. Not one single time did it lose connection, and the sound quality through the Premium Sound System is just like a CD. The idea of all the products that we produce, is that they can all be fitted yourself with no modifications to the car, thus avoiding warrenty issues...

I currently use an FM kit from Apple with my ipod nano which uses smart scan and the connection is ok, but not great. I guess it depends on the radio station strength in your area...I have a lot of trouble finding a frequency that isnt being used...seems to go in and out.

I'd really prefer a wired in setup, but I'm looking forward to seeing what your carbon center console looks like.

We displayed The Vantage Collection car at the ESX Aston Martin race day in Fontana, California on Tuesday. The response to the Carbon Fiber Center Console we had on the car was great! The gloss carbon fiber finish really does set off the interior very well, and it looks great with the matching door sills.
