I looked through the pics on the website but can you take a closeup of the switch that needs to be installed and is there enough wire on it to place it in the glovebox. How big is the control unit and is there a place to mount it using factory mounting bolts? Any pics of the control unit itself? How do you access the USB port to use a HDD or Jumpdrive?

Thanks for your help.

Sorry for the delay in coming back to you. I will get a picture of the switch and post it. It will fit inside the Glovebox if required, there would be plenty of cable on it. I will also picture the control unit. The size is approx 6"x4"x1". The location I use, to allow connection of the Fibre Optic cables, is behind the carpet on the passenger side against the transmission tunnel. There are no convenient fixings for the control box unfortunately. The USB port comes with an extension cable to allow positioning of the USB cable wherever you wish in the car (1 metre length).

Regards,

James@Paralight

I just purchased a vantage and had been researching the iPod connection. I always come up to your solution. I see that you now sell to US flat rate of 725, does it include shipping? Also when I told the Aston dealer about your kit they were very interested. Any price reduction if we buy many units?

Yes, the $725.00 does include shipping.

Which dealer is interested? bulk order depends on numbers. Shipping would be to one address only. I would then offer to talk through installation, if required.

Kind Regards,

James@Paralight

Brian at AM Long Island was whom I spoke with, but I am sure pretty much all dealers would be interested. I don't see any pre-08 vantage owner not wanting to have the possibility of hooking up an ipod or other mp3 player. CD's are so, 20th century, lol

stearnsn is an unknown quantity at this point
I would guess the DAC in the upgraded sound system in the AM sounds superior to the one in an iPod and that CDs will sound better than an iPod stream.

Now if Wadia would make a mobile 170i Transport...

Was it today, I sent them the link to your site. Funny, I think that if you get a lot of sales from exposure given from me a gift should be in store, lol.
