Question V12 side sills fit on a V8?

Has anyone looked into putting the V12 side sills on a V8V? These sills turn down and out at the rear (see pic below) instead of sweeping up like the N400 sills. I believe that the N24/GT4 sills also turn down and will fit on the V8V, but they have an exposed CF rib I'm looking to avoid.

Also, anyone know if the front splitter from the V12 would fit the V8V?

I thought these are simply the N400 side sills.

No,

The V12V has the GT4 side skirts. The Carbon portion is painted body color however. They will fit on the V8. Here is a picture of my car. I left the carbon exposed to Match the other carbon I have used on the car

JM, your sills look great -- the CF definitely goes well with the dk. gray. So the V12V sills have the CF also, but it's painted? You sure about that one, or are you assuming? Is there a seam between the plastic and the CF on your sills? I don't see one on the V12V sills. Thanks.

Looking to purchase a V8V. My first mod plans are actually the...V12V side sills and front bumper(if available). Now that would look sick...

I believe that the V12V is a painted carbon where my skirts are 2 pieces. I was told by a tech that the design is the same. I didn't read this or get it on high authority. The N400 have a heavier detail and curve slightly up the wheel.

Okay, if you would, take a close look at your sills next time your drive your car and see if there is a seam you can see/feel between the CF and the plastic. If not, I suppose painting the GT4 sills would yield the same look as the V12. Thanks.

There is a seam. They came from the factory in rough shape. They needed a lot of prep prior to painting and the carbon needed a coat of clear. So there should be no reason that they could not be painted one color to achieve the same look. Having said that, I would contact the dealer and ask if there is a difference. They may be able to get a set with or without carbon. Just be prepared to pay. My set was around 4K plus 1500 to prep, paint and install. You need a trim kit for weather proofing also. By the way I think Cargraphic a similar set wich they sell for 6500.

For what it's worth, if your car is light silver, I love the look of Carbon on the skirts and front and rear. Then get a set of satin gray HRE's with a machined rim and instant awesome. Oh and don't forget the mirrors. I have all the contacts. Send me a PM and I'll get you some pics.

Update:

AM of Atlanta says they can't get the V12 or GT4 side sills, but the N400 side sills are available for just over $1,000, which is surprisingly inexpensive. The parts guy there also said that the V12 is longer than the V8 and has a longer wheelbase, which means the V12 side sills won't fit. I haven't verified that info yet, but I *thought* the dimensions/wheelbase was the same for the V8 and the V12.

Honestly I think he is talking BS They certainly have not changed the VH platform just for the V12V.

My understanding is that the wheelbase and body/frame are overall the same. The only frame modifications were made in the front of the engine compartment to fit the V12 engine. The V12 side skirts should fit with no problems.

AM has said this on other V12 parts as well...I think they're just saying it to discourage people from putting V12 parts on the V8.

Was reading Car and Driver online and ran across these wheelbase dimensions:

2009 V8 Vantage: 102.4 in
2010 V12 Vantage: 107.9 in

Length and width dimensions of the cars are the same.
