We have finished prototyping and design on our clutch & flywheel kit for the 4.3L Vantages. Still finalizing prices but we hope to have this product available for $3500.00. For reference, the parts cost on an Aston OE clutch/flywheel is $2500.00 So assuming you were quoted $4500.00 for a clutch by the dealer, the cost to install ours would be $5500.00. As always, thoughts/questions/criticisms are welcomed.
The clutch is a dual plated AP Racing clutch which we believe will outlast the OE item by at least 50-100%, and will provide faster, more direct shifting. Given that a large proportion of the cost of a clutch is the labor, this upgrade should pay for itself and then some over its life cycle. The 10kg reduction in the rotational mass will also allow the engine to rev up much, much quicker, which will vastly improve acceleration as well as making downshifts easier if you’re heel and toeing.
is there a difference in pedal feel? I quite like the way the stock pedal feels even though it's a little heavy but it's easy to modulate and very smooth.

I can't tell you for certain as I haven't had the chance to drive myself, but the overall action will still be very driveable. There is going to be less slip with a setup like this, in part due to the uprated clutch but also because with 10kg less rotating mass it will bite quicker. We don't expect the pedal effort to be much different, but the clutch engagement is going to be sharper. It will require a bit more care when pulling away but should actually be faster, and feel more direct once rolling. You should 'feel' the clutch more than the OE item.
