How does this work? Let say if I buy a car from out of state/or another dealer, because the local dealer does not have the color/options/price I want. Will they service it? Or are they not going to be too happy about it?

Also, I'm sure they are used to having people move in and out of the area, so owners and cars will always be moving from one dealer to another.

they'd be more than happy to start you off with an overall inspection, and charging you an arm/leg for it.
My initial evaluation for bringing my car in resulted in a laundry list of $7000 in suggested work. DIY'd it for less than $700.

I guess I should apologize to the good dealers out there, said what I did in the heat of the moment.
The morale of the story is, just because we own AM cars, it doesn't mean we should not use common sense at the dealership service. Perhaps some dealers are used to everyone saying "yes" to whatever their recommendation, there's really no shame to say no. Keep the ego at the door.
Some other dealers I worked with have been pure class acts so far, good luck with your purchase!
