V12 Vantage Values

FCI is asking $145 for a '12. Tempting but I really don't need another one right now. I'm kinda thinking of waiting until the 2016/17 refresh arrives and going F-car in between.

Yes, the V12V is a stick -- 2012, last of the breed I think.
Yes, the M6 with a manual is rare. Frankly, I loved the car. Rear end is a bit odd looking, and it's big. 3800 lbs so not much more weight than a Vantage, but it is BIGGER size wise. The V10 is amazing. 8250 redline. But not nearly as torquey as the AMV12 and it feels it.
The manual tranny is the exact same one BMW had in the E39 M5 (had one of those too, great car). It was the weak point during track days. I tracked the M6 five times in teh two years I had it, and three of those times I got a tranny overheat message.

I had an 08 M6 as well few years ago and loved it! I had the Supersprint X pipes with the Eisenmann Race exhaust on the V10 and it was deafening...still miss it.
But you're right, the V12 Vantage has a lot more torque and also much better handling with weight compared to the M6.
Enjoy!

That's a nice setup! Since my car was my daily, I left the exhaust stock but the S85 with a good system on it sounds pretty amazing.
Just drove both cars (bone stock) back to back tonight. Wow. I love my M6 but it feels soft and wallowy, and "dead" below 4k. It is also much more comfortable....lol...The V12V is pretty damn hardcore. Still only 15 miles on it though. Can't wait for a track day.
Yankee, the silver one at FCI is in great shape and looks great in that color. I was a bit turned off by the red seats but they are more burgundy than bright red, and looked pretty good the night I drove the car. It's a consignment car so I'd like to think there was a fair amount of room to move on the $145k, but once the Carbon Edition one fell to what I paid for it, I figured I needed to jump. On the other hand, the car was ordered out of FCI and is one owner, and the seller could be underwater on the car meaning it may be hard to get him down off of the $145k.
Nice car though.
