Glove box cord

Glove box cord
Aston calls it the buffer cord. The cord that dampens the opening of the glove box is dangling, unattached on my car.
There's no loop or hook on the end of the cord on my car. There's a hook on the side of the box that clearly should have the cord attached to it.
I'm looking to get a picture or explanation of how the cord is supposed to be terminated. Is it looped with some kind of crimped collar or is there a hook that I missing?

I was able to get the glove box cord back in fairly easily using some fishing line. I just tied the line to the end of the cord and slipped it through the clip. I was able to pull the cord through the clip and then clamped the end with a tiny alligator clip. Works perfectly.
If your crimp has come loose, I imagine the alligator clip would solve that problem as well.

I bought an aluminum coupler from the hardware store and reset the loop. It was pretty easy to get the loop around the hook on the glovebox door with the door detached from the dashboard. Then reassembled everything and $0.50 later, presto, no more freely dropping door.
