My progress thread - 2006 V8 Vantage - Update 19/02
Hi guys,
I thought i would start a progress thread for my Aston Vantage. So, a brief intro, my name is Rick im from the UK and have had mainly a bmw m background but i have always wanted a vantage. The time came when my ex decided she wanted a divorce so i thought i would use this opportunity to sell my old car and start something fresh.
Here's my old beast, it was a BMW e63 M6 supercharged - 700bhp, it was a handful to say the least!
Then i picked my vantage up, as I got it (and how i intended to keep it...)
Keeping it standard lasted all about 2 weeks, then i decided to pull fuse 22 and put on my private registration and install LED interior lights and number plate LEDs
A couple of weeks later, i managed to source a tubi and prodrive 200 cell cats, the sound is AWESOME!
So last week things started to get a bit more interesting, I fitted a short plate, 6 slat grill and clear rears
The story will continue next week, having some H&R springs and spacers fitted, along with new drop links, track rod end, thermostat, idler pulley and belt and new gearbox oil. That should keep me happy for a while!
(please excuse the random pic sizes i dont know whats happened!)

Thank you! I have to admit the only thing i miss about the m6 is the toys other than that i much prefer everything about the Vantage. I wont be going crazy with this one, just give it an oem+ sort of look and trade for a V12 vantage in a couple of years

Very nice, love the color. I had a 4.3 Vantage for two years great car. I like your mods so far, have fun. But once you start down the mod road it is hard to stop.

Hi Rick and Welcome
Great car and looking better with what you've done so far
Be interested to see how it looks with the spacers - I bought some for mine but the studs on the rears foul against the existing wheels
Let me know how you go
Graze

Welcome! I too thought I would keep my Vantage stock. Except when I bought it it already had RSC sport cats and muffler, RSC wheel spacers, H&R springs, Aston Martin sport pack wheels, satellite radio, and tinted windows.
In the last year I've added Velocity AP exhaust headers, VAP ECU tune, VAP light weight flywheel and twin-disc clutch, LED interior and number plate lights, LED front marker lights, Dension Gateway iPod interface, custom floor mats, a DBS shift ****, custom glass switches from Bamford Rose, and custom stainless steel radio, nav, and HVAC ***** from Tony Hall.
Other than that, it's stock! LOL
