Ok. Here is my update. The BBS wheels are on and the H&R coilovers are installed. No vibration or shimmy yet. The spacers go on this week. I'll post the update.

Forget the vibration... let's see some pics!

Got the H&R coilovers installed and had the alignment done last week. Did not notice any vibrations. I went to order the new control arms at my dealer (just being proactive)and found out that my production date already had the new control arms on them.
Today the spacers and exhasut system got installed. H&R 20mm DRA in the front and 25mm DRA in the rear. Did a road test once the spacers got put on and the vibration at 60-65 mph was very noticeable.
Came back and road forced the wheels and tires (with the spacers attached to the wheels) down to 11 lbs and less. Fronts had 11lbs and 7 lbs. The rears had 10lbs each side. Went back on a road test and the vibration was still there, but a little better than before.
Came back and took off the wheels and realized that the wheel bolts supplied by BBS was a tad bit long and was making an indentation in the spacers themselves. Just to be sure, the wheels bolt ends were ground down and re-installed.
Looked at the possibility that maybe the vibration still exists because the road force of the front 2 tires were different. 11 lbs on the right and 7 lbs on the left. We took the rear wheels that had 10lbs road force each and put them in the front.
This time we torqued the wheels at 85 lbs instead of the previous 90lbs. We took the car back on a road test. The vibration/shimmy is almost completely gone. There is a hint of it at about 60mph, but totally acceptable in my book.
This has been my journey with this issue and I am glad to say that I am satisfied with the end result. Hope this helps some others with this issue.

What was your reasoning for 85lbs instead of the 89-90lbs?

Umm... maybe I should've looked around online before pulling the trigger on an S5 yesterday... any news on this problem? My car will arrive as a 2010 model, thanks.

My 2009 S5 has the vibration and the dealer is replacing the control arms and 2 tires that were not up to par. I really hope this fixes it.
The few 2010 models that are showing up here in the US out have not been without the issue despite having the newer updated lower control arms.

Is this happening to EVERY S5? Or should I start preying for my chance of getting a normal car?
Dealer said I have to wait 6-8 months for my car... by the way I ordered Ibis White w/ Pearl Silver interior and 20 spoke 19" rims (the standard is 18" rims for Chinese market). I'm taking my chance on how an all white car will look About the only good thing here in China is that no one gives a **** about tinted windows and loud ass exhaults.
I wouldn't say it's happening to every A5/S5 & B8 A4's but there are quite a few. You may get lucky by the time yours is built and they find a fix. But even some cars that out there have no problem at all. It's a hit or miss problem. I'll post back what happens with mine this week.
I'll post the control arm part numbers that I have "now" and the part numbers of the new updated control arms.

It has not been confirmed that 2010 models that have the problem also have the new control arms. The earliest builds of the 2010 model year still used the old arms, and some of them had the vibration. I frequent multiple Audi forums and I've not seen any reports of 2010 B8 cars that have the vibration and are confirmed to have the new arms. In fact, it appears that replacing the control arms does indeed fix the vibration problem.
