I replaced the turbos, timing belt, clutch, water pump, thermostat, and a whole bunch of other items in that car only a few thousand kms before heading out on this trip.

I think that's about as reliable as a B5 S4 will ever be.

Next summer will be the real test when I try to log closer to 10,000 km in one trip.

Great pics, looks like you had fun! I've done a coast-to-coast US trip once with an eBay purchase and it was a blast, I totally recommend people to do it once in their life. Where else can you see things like the largest Green Giant, the Spam Museum and Wall Drugs but on a roadtrip?!?!
