And here is, IMO, the baddest R8 of them all, owned by Ben of Wheels Boutique in Miami. It's this look that convinced me to order them for my car.

I think the key is the centercaps? I was under the impression that the HRE centercaps were not replacable on the monobloks (or any).

This has been going on for years. We all know who is behind it and everyone involved knows exactly what they're doing and they've all already been warned... just like selling the 24" HRE 943s when HRE doesn't even make 24s. This is why we'll leave it to our lawyers. No point discussing any further.
