Official R8 Spyder photos leaked

In advance of the R8's debut in Frankfurt, these official Audi photos have surfaced. IMHO, Audi has hit a homerun with the Spyder. Well done.

great looking car. as far as the sideblades are concerned, they would look **** if they added something similar to the cabriolet. imagine a clean body colour, a soft hardtop and a different looking sideblade. this would look like pimp my ride. so i am pretty relieved they left the blade for the coupe.

That looks great, though I wish they had integrated the side blade into the spyder design.

I actually prefer the Spyder without the sideblades as well. The design of the car flows much better. I also really like the vents above the engine. Really sharp.

Agreed!
the only thing I am not crazy about is the aluminum/brushed trim around the windshield. Its very "Audi A4 Cabriolet looking"

Hmm... Can't put my finger on why but it somehow manages to look too plain to me without the top. Almost like an S4 cab. Good thing for Audi I seem to be in the minority here.

I feel the same about the car as the faces the two people in it are making...

Interesting color. Would be good to see if it holds up in person. Silver / black are so commonplace.

Looks OK for a cabrio. Most cars that are later turned into a convertible look off, but this one can pass the grade.
