    Hi Joel,

I was wondering if you could help me regarding a steering swap.
I've noticed that you didn't had to change the steering control unit?

Why do you think some have, In order to make the horn work?

I've a manual 997.1 2006 CS without remote control on the steering wheel.

    Many thanks!

Hi Joel, sorry to bother you - I read in a post that you had swapped out the control buttons (PASM, exhaust etc) from a 997.2 unit into a 997.1 car - any more info on how you did this?
I have 4 buttons and in the 997.2 car one of them is in a different position (997.1 3 on the left, 1 on the right. 997.2 2 on each side)

Hey Joel. Was just checking out your DIY Caliper painting thread. I am looking to tackle this project on my 2008 Cayenne S. I want to change the factory grey caliper color to red. Do you think i need to take the calipers down to bare metal like you did or can i get away with scuffing the existing paint on the caliper? Duplicolor makes a caliper primer, paint, and clear. Do you suggest using that or going with the paint you used? I've seen the red engine paint and it looks more orange to me. Any advise would be great. Thanks.

Hey Joel, quick question on using 997 S Lobster fork wheels (19") on an NB 99 996. I happened to see your post from 2009 about the yellow 996. I'm looking at a decent deal for a set of these wheels and am wondering if they'd fit without any issues.

    Thanks

    Good day Joel:

I was hoping if you could help regarding a steering wheel swap. I too had the triangle leather wheel but with multi-function. I have swapped it for the thicker and round air bag steering wheel. Installed but the horn won't work. I understand you may need to change the steering control unit. Can you confirm what the part number is and how long it takes to change and re-program.

    Thanks so much.
