2003 Porsche 911 Cabriolet 6 speed For sale

  • Black on Black
  • 320 hp 3.6l Flat 6 cylinder motor
  • Heated Seats
  • Supple leather seats (with real leather seat backs)
  • Memory for driver's side seat
  • 6 speed manual
  • Litronic Bi-xenon auto leveling headlights
  • 50k miles (49,90x right now)
  • Western General Extended warranty, to 2011 and/or 84k miles.
  • Cruise control, power windows, power locks, a/c works great
  • Has the Porsche airbag disable for a baby seat installed.
  • In 2002, all the 996s got updated with new interior materials, new headlights and taillights, the larger motor and a bunch of other smaller changes, including a glass rear window for the cabriolets.
  • Adult driven weekend car, never tracked or abused. Definitely enjoyed.
  • More pictures available at: http://www.kitw.org/911_for_sale/
  • Car is located in Sunnyvale, CA
  • Asking $31999
  • Contact kitwetzler at gmail dot com
Fun Parts:
  • Brand new Factory Euro sport suspension (ROW M030 - consists of springs/bilstein shocks/sway bars, lowers the car 20mm up front/10mm in the rear) Installed less than 1000 miles ago, and aligned to factory GT3 specs
  • Factory engine protection plate installed
  • 997 shifter mechanism installed - reduces throws by about 20%, without typical short shifter notchiness
  • GHL exhaust with stock tips - sounds pretty much like stock except on a cold start and when you romp on it, at WOT it has a very nice growl and yet, shuts up under cruise
  • Focal 165V1 component speakers - 6.5" components mounted in an MDF frame in the doors, tweeters in factory location - really sweet sounding setup, and easily audible on the highway with the top down if you so desire
  • Alpine amplifier - MRP-F300 50W x 4 channels or 150w x 2 (front channels send 50 watts to each front component speaker, and rear channels bridged at 150watts to factory Bose subwoofer)
  • Alpine IDA-X100 iPod deck - iPod Nano in glovebox included!
  • Professionally installed by AMS Car Stereo in San Jose

Maintenance:
  • Oil changed every 3k miles with only synthetic fluids - last change at 48,500 miles
  • New Sachs factory clutch and flywheel installed at 48,500 miles, properly broken in
  • Rear Main seal is not leaking - updated to 2008 part
  • Intermediate Shaft Bearing is updated to 2008 part, confirmed not leaking
  • Radiators/A/C compressors cleaned of crud build up
  • convertible Top and cowl drains cleaned
  • New ventilation filter
  • New clutch spring
  • Brakes have plenty of life left on them, fluid just flushed with Pentosin DOT brake fluid and bled

What's not right:
  • There are a decent amount of rock chips on the front end (typical of Porsche paint)
  • There is a small dent on the hood that has been touched up by the previous owner. You can kind of see it in some of the pictures but it's a bit more obvious in real life. not terrible, just full disclosure.
  • The inside of the driver's side door looks like someone bonked it into something. Happened before I got it, only visible with the door open. - some of the under panels are a bit cracked (but they stay on just fine, I figured I'd leave them until they broke. Nothing is hanging down or dragging.
  • The rear tires will make it through the summer no problem, but I'd replace them before things got wet if you're going to drive the car in the rain. I'd guess there was about 5-8k miles left on them.
  • The Porsche Junior baby seat is not included.

I've had a couple of pings, but no serious interest so far... happy to entertain comments on pricing, etc?

I used to have an 03 C2 Cab and it was a great car...$31K is nothing relative to the enjoyment that car gives you on a sunny day...someone will love that car! Good luck...

What was your trade in value?

Just curious as I am in the market for a used carrera, what was your trade in value. Also in case you didn't know, you should be able to get a refund on the unused portion of your warranty.
