Yes stock internals, as far as race gas tune we have not done it yet. A car with identical setup made 804whp on racegas

Wow, I didn't realize that you didn't have them build the internals. That's a lot of power for the stock rods. for the money you spent on this, you defnitely should have had them do the internals. I'm pretty sure that EVOMS will not build anything higher than a GT700 without doing the internals now because these engines can't handle more than that without grenading. I do believe in Tym Switzer, but wow I'm really suprised that he would build a car with these specs without doing the internals. I know I'm being redundant, I'm just in shock. Wow...

Just because EVOMS doesn't do it that way doesn't mean it cannot be done and done safely. The "conventional wisdom" of stock internals is being tested everyday around here and it's great for consumers and for further competition between tuners/vendors.

Also, not sure it's very appropriate to be questioning the build in his for sale thread.

The Switzer uses a standalone eng management system for very precise tuning (helped by Todd K). If you use the right gas and the right boost your engine will be fine (although I would only run 640 plus rwhp about 20% of the time).

Although Evoms seems to be back in the game in terms of engine builds (actually, EVOMS is as good as anyone in terms of building motors) and producing some very high hp cars, for tuning stock blocks, Switzer and Proto are on another level.

This car is for someone who is smart and disciplined w/ their use of the boost controller.

Don't get me wrong guys, and sorry to the original poster if I came off wrong. I'm just surprised that it's on stock internals. 700hp has long been the acknowledged threshold of the stock 996TT engine, not just by EVOMS, but other builders as well such as Protomotive. The Euro tuners such as 9FF, Ruf and Gemballa usually dig into the internals well under 700hp. Having said that, I'm very confident in Tym's abilities and Switzer is a very capable builder and the first to my knowledge that has been able to use a standalone on the TT, so I'm confident in the build. But like Jitsu said, the next owner (hopefully me if the cars still available in about 2 months possibly) is going to have to be one who truly understands the car and it's capabilities but willing to use it correctly, they'll have to practice a little bit of restraint and not be on full boost all the time. I could be wrong, but I believe Tym Switzer is the first to build 800hp cars on stock internals, I'm pretty sure even Todd K builds the internals when going over 700hp, but to my knowledge he hasn't built one using a standalone yet. Now that he's doing this in collaboration with Tym, maybe you're right, the limits of the stock internals have just been pushed that much further with the efficiency of the standalone! Amazing how over engineered these cars really are, gotta love it!

Anyway, I'm sure that if Switzer's willing to build it, it'll be a hell of a car. The only weak point in the TT engine for high horsepower builds in the past has been the Rods to my knowledge (which admittedly isn't much lol). I'm not saying they're gonna let go, but when putting 40K into an engine, new Carillo Rods would be nice insurance. Here's a pic I stole off of James Wong's GT800 for sale thread showing the difference between the stock and the Carillo's.
