In 30 years of racing....15 of them at or near the front...I never had a mechanical DNF. I am mechanically sympathetic and I prep at an insane level of detail. Of course having a factory team manage the car always helps

Getting into racing sucks. No matter how much talent you have, you need big bucks. Unless or course, you are backed by a syndicate or investors! I spent half a mil of my own money to get my shot and I got lucky.
