I Decide to sale my 2002 996tt W/Techart GT2 body kit
and go to 997 style
First off all my car has a salvage title and 60000 miles
Bought the car from CA
Bought the car with 48000 miles and change oil and filter every 2500 miles using Mobil 1 Synthetic
I own the car for about 4-5 years now and spend a lot of money for upgrades.I paid $70000 for the car and spend around $40k for the below upgrades
car runs perfect its in great condition Black exterior and Black leather interior power seats/ mirrors Ac,Ipod connection w ipod mount,and some of the upgrades are:

C/F front strut brace
New front side markers tinted
2008 997tt wheels and spacers brand new
Brand new tires TOYO

Evo silicone hoses
Silver C/F interior pieces paid $3500
3M clear bra (front bumper front fenders mirrors hood)
Valentine 1 Radar detector latest model
New Rear roof spoiler ready to get paint this week
Maxspeed gt2 Headers
Bilstein PSS9 Coilovers
Upsolute ECU upgrade
About 450rwhp and if you send the turbos for upgrade to 24/18 and ecu upgrade will go to 540rwhp
Evo short shif kit
RS clutch Heavy Duty from Ultimate Motorworks installed 2 months ago
Change spark plugs last year and just change oil & filter 2 days ago

The reason for a salvage title?

 

what they tall me when bought the car some water went in to ecu and insurance cover the damage
i look the car and before and now was no visible damage i have it for 4-5 years and never had a problem
not at all!
i post on 6speed one time about psm light e.t.c when i installed and evo filter and was the maf from the evo filter i took it off and put a bmc filter and have no problem after that!

$60k for a salvage title will be impossible, but good luck trying.

Very nice car, but I agree its too expensive. Even with no salvage title it would be a stretch to get 60K today. There have been some really nice examples of TT's selling for less on the forum lately.

I'm currently in the market for a 996TT, possibly one that's modded, and sorry to say that even if you had a clean title, 60k is pushing the limit for price on this car.
