Deed is done - picked up a new 2009 997 TT Cab tonight - dealer found one that met my needs:
Car has following options:
9Q Meteor Grey Metallic
V9 Black Roof
AT Black Full Leather
XSC Porsche Crest in Headrest
220 Limited Slip
342 Heated Front Seats
431 3 Spoke Multi function steering wheel in leater
619 Blue Tooth Phone Interfact
640 Sport Chrono package Turbo
810 Black floor mats
870 Universal Audio Interface
635 Parking Assist
XCZ Sport Shifter
541 Seat Ventilation
Not exactly how I would have built it but a very nice car for the few that are remaining out there. Has limited slip, sport chrono and short shift, all which were must haves to move ahead.
As far as the deal well check the used market, add $10k and that is about where the dealers are, pretty amazing what they can do with a little trunk money from Porsche!

If your going to get an 08-09 it would be difficult to not get a new one with all the incentives they are offering.
Were you able to get the discount plus the 1.8% money?

The discount I got was either or - so they have about $15k profit in a $150k car - you can finance with 1.9% and get up to $15k off (less whatever profit dealer wants) or for a cash deal they will give you the benefit of the 1.9% - or an additional discount to the $15k off in lieu of the the favorable financing - Porshe would prefer to sell the car without the financing, so the dealer has a bucket that can applied to discounts on pricing for cash deals or 1.9% financing.
