1966 Ford Mustang (almost 600hp)

Year: 1966
Make: Ford
Model: Mustang
Price: $16500
Mileage: 1
Color: Red
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): NC
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive

I'm selling my '66 Mustang with almost 600hp. This car is a monster and gets attention wherever it goes. If you're not familiar with high horsepower and really torquey cars, this is NOT the car for you. It will light up the rear tires in a heartbeat. It gets tons of attention anytime I take it out of the garage.

The paint job is fresh as of last October and it looks incredible, you must see it in person. One of the best paint jobs I've ever seen on a car like this. The car has a 4 1/2" cowl induction hood and it looks amazing. It gives the front end of the car that "mean" look and you can tell there's some serious power lurking underneath the hood.

The car has all new quarters, a new fiberglass nose and a new fiberglass racing apron.

The car is mini-tubbed and built to last with 2x2 tubing welded through the floor to connect frame connectors. It also has an 8-point racing cage that is powder-coated to match the car.

The car has a 351W that has been stroked out to a 418 stroker motor and it is a ROCKET! This thing will absolutely get up and go! It is a complete solid roller motor with 225cc AFR heads, 4340 scat crank, 4340 h-beam scat rods, 950 HP carb, super victory intake, comp solid roller lifters, comp double valve springs, gold aluminum race roller rockers, Reed roller cam, true double roller timing chain and a new Ford stud and main girdle. It has a Melling high volume oil pump, an 8 quart Moroso oil pan, MSD pro billet distributor. It has a MSD 6AL ignition box and an ATI super damper. The motor makes almost 600hp and over 600ft lbs of torque! When you hit the gas, it feels like you're speeding up the earth's rotation!

The car also has a competition PA transmission with a 4000 stall. It has a 1 3/4 BBK headers with 3" collectors. It also has a 9" rear end that has been cut down to fit that has also been painted. It has 4.11 gears with Detroit lockers.

It also has either 31 or 35 spline axles on it (not 100% sure). The car has cal-trac mono leaf springs on it. This car has a mustang 2 front end with tubular upper and lower control arms, it also has a manual rack and pinion with coil over shocks. The inner and outer shock towers were eliminated and it is painted the same color as the car. It has rack and pinion , power disc brakes in front and drum in back with coil over shocks. As any of the car show guys will tell you, it's the little things and the details that make a car go from a really good car to a great car and this one has the details that make it an incredible car!

The entire interior of the car is brand-spanking new except the back seat since the car was tubbed and it will need to be custom-made. Since I don't have any kids that cruise around with me and it's just me and the lady, I didn't bother with having any rear sears made and it looks fine as it sits right now. You probably wouldn't know there's supposed to be back seats if I didn't tell you ... it looks factory. There is all new carpet from the front, all the way to the back and into the trunk. The headliner is brand new as well. The car has a new dash pad. The front seats have been custom made and door panels were custom made to match as well. The battery was also moved to the trunk.

There is so much more that I'm sure I'm forgetting to mention, but the bottom line is this: this car is absolutely killer and one of a kind. You can tell that no expense was spared in the building of this car.

If you have any questions or want to see any other pics, don't hesitate to give me a call or shoot me a text or email.

Thanks for looking

I have plenty more photos to send, but it's taking a long time for me to upload them...

A side shot of the car would be helpful when you have time.

It's nasty and rainy here today, but happy to get some specific shots once the weather clears up if there are any others requested.

Thanks
