Enthusiast Auto Group. They buy and sell BMWs. Everything is completely overpriced for true enthusiasts.

That's putting it kindly lol.
Someone was asking me the difference between the N54 and N55 model range. I'll give it as best as I can.
N54 engine model range for the 135i ranged from 2008 - 2010. These were twin turbo 3.0 liter inline 6 engines. It is rated for 300hp/300tq and featured direct injection and VANOS. This year range had the recalls for the high pressure fuel pumps.
N55 engine model range for the 135i ranged from 2011 - End of Production. These were single turbo 3.0 liter inline 6 engines. It is rated the same as the N54 (300hp/300tq) and featured direct injection, twin-scroll turbo (aka TwinPower Turbo), VANOS, and the Valvetronic system. This resulted to max torque at a lower RPMs and better fuel efficiency than the previous engine. All the x35i models nowadays use the N55 engine.
2011 was the pre-LCI model for the N55. This model year had the same headlights and taillights as the N54 models.
2012+ were the LCI models. Featured updated headlights and taillights.
Hope this helps a little.
