I’ve owned this car since 9/2013, and have put roughly 5K miles on it. Zero accidents, clean car fax (I have a copy from when I purchased the car a year and a half ago, and would be happy to share that with interested parties), clean title, and would be happy to take it in for a PPI at the buyer’s expense. There is a lien on the car as I have a loan through Penfed (I will be paying this off in the next couple of weeks, and will not be a barrier).
The car has been great since I’ve had it – no issues whatsoever. I purchased the car from a family who had owned it for about 8 years. They had purchased it from the original owner, and had kept it up-to-date in their ownership. Unfortunately, they did not have their maintenance records organized, so I was only able to grab their most recent receipts. (I’m sure someone out there can help with pulling some more information from a BMW dealership, as I know for a fact some of the work was done at the local dealership).
With that being said, here are some of the key selling points for the car:
Good:
-New bumper put on last month. I had someone in the garage swipe the front of the car, and rip my license plate holder off; this left a couple holes in the front, and so the entire bumper will be replaced. Nothing else was damaged. I have pictures of the damage if anyone would like to see them.
-New Tires. Replaced all the tires when I purchased the car, so about 4K miles on them. Bridgestone Pole Position S-04
-Guibo was replaced right before I purchased the car
-Replaced Evap Purge Valve
-Replaced Fan Clutch
-Replaced transmission mounts
-Replaced engine mounts
-Replaced front o2 sensors
-Water pipe o-ring replaced
-water pump o-ring replaced
-thermostat/thermostat housing gasket replaced
-intake manifold gasket replaced
-valve cover gasket set replaced
-rear sway bark brackets replaced
-brake fluid flush
-New Cabin Filters
-Fresh oil change @ 85K miles (Castrol 10w-60, will include 5qts of the oil with a sell)
-New floormats
-Peake Reader
-F10 Shifter ****
-Brakes have about 40% life left in them (just had the shop check this when it was in for service)
-Comes with a dynavin system (radio antenna not properly installed, so just listening to music through Bluetooth stream), but the previous owner had replaced the original sound system with a custom one (was told that they're high-end parts [amp + 2 12s + speakers], but I haven’t been able to get it to work right). Should be an easy fix that would provide great sound.
Bad:
-Suspension could use a refresh moving forward -- there's a squeak on the left side coming off bumps. I’m a bit picky, but the ride could be a bit tighter
-No maintenance records past what I have shared, though someone at a dealership may be able to help
-A couple dings/small dents across the car, nothing extreme for a 13-year old car
-Headlights could use a refresh
-A couple interior squeaks. Seems to be coming from the trim.
-Wheels could use a refinishing
-Center Console Trim is loose
-Only comes with one full-sized key + valet key
-Small line of rust towards the front passenger drive sideskirt. I was planning on having this sanded down and repainted, but have not had the chance to do so. I was quoted about $400 to have this done.
