I have owned this car for 5 years, and it has been a riot! Without a doubt, the fastest, best sorted car I have ever owned, but I just bought an URS6, and I want to go crazy with her, so I will sell this to finance the build.
car:
1997 Boxster, Black. The car is in decent shape, but is showing her age a little. The paint is original, and getting oxidized a bit. She sits outside, so there are dents and dings scattered around the car, where acorns have fallen. I replaced the seats a few years ago, but the driver's bolster is starting to get slightly cracked again. I just put a complete top on from a 2001 Box. The Sparco steering wheel is losing it's leather. I recently installed Lightronics headlights from a 2001 Box S.
Engine:
Engine was installed as a pull out from a 2000 911 C2. It was a totalled car with 19k on the clock. (receipt for $10,500 for the install) Engine now has a little over 100k miles. Runs like a champ. There is a slight oil leak from the passenger bank. She stumbles before she warms up when cold, and my last look at the codes indicated a bad MAF. SS headers, SS cat delete pipes, and a Supersprint muffler. She is LOUD if you apply full throttle. I did not do the IMS. I did run Blackstone Labs used oil analyses, and have the reports. According to my research, most IMS issues will show up by 90k miles, so you should be in the clear. Oil changed ever 5k with Mobil 1. She had a performance chip done with the engine install, so it runs Motronic 7.2.
Suspension:
Eibach full coilovers, GT3 front control arms, Wevo semi solid trans mounts. One rear coilover is blown. They were made for Eibach by Sachs, so they are rebuildable. Black 18" Moda wheels with crappy paint. Boxster S rear brake upgrade. Because of this, the e-brake does not currently work, but I'll include a set of S brake shoes and hopefully you can make them work.
In the last 5 years, I have replaced: water pump, radiators, AC compressor, GT3 front LCA's, ignition switch, window regulator, coolant bottle, shift cables, AOS, and so many more things I cant remember. I have every receipt for everything I have done in the last 5 years, and I am confident I'm well over $5k, parts alone. Most every common failure has already been replaced. She was well-kept, like all my girls. She has been to one weekend track day, and quite a few autocrosses.
If you want, you can watch her run on my YouTube channel: Bradsblackboxster
I have posted the 5 pics 6Speed will allow, and will get an imgur album up soon.

I love this car, and we have had some wonderful times. I want to see her go to a good home, which would be someone mechanically savvy to tackle a few little details, and make her into the giant killer she was and can be. She's a hell of a weekend track car. 2800# on the scales, ~340Hp, and my best was 22MPG. TBH, the only thing keeping her from being a DD again is the blown shock.
Thanks!

Also, if someone buys it any time soon, for a reasonable price, I'll include my racing seat brackets. That's a set of 986/996 factory sliders, with MOMO seat brackets. Attach your race seats, and you can swap from stock seats to race buckets in 10 minutes. I'll also leave the harness attachment point in the outside seatbelt attachment points. Everything you need, aside from the belts and buckets.
Thanks!
