Base vs. S

Base vs. S
Good day all,
I'm in the market for a '14 Panny.
I found a great deal on a base model. I test drove the car, It was my first time driving a Panamera.
It felt under powered. I'm coming from a BMW 3 series coupe. The Panamera also felt big but i expected that.
I started considering an S model. I will be going to my local dealer to test one out soon.
My budget is roughly $60-65k. I'm thinking of waiting 'till late this year/early next year for the prices on the '14 S to drop down to my budget range.
However, before i do that, i would like to get some inputs.
- Does the S model cost more to maintain than Base?
- How reliable is the turbo in the S engines? Should i be worried about the turbo going? i don't have much knowledge about Porsche engine history.
- Do brake changes cost more on the S?
- What other financial things cost more on the S that i should consider.
Thanks.

Yes i'm definitely getting a CPO'd car or low mileage 0ff-lease.
However, do general wear and tear items cost more on an S model vs a base model? such as, light bulbs, brakes, wipers etc?

Think about it, how could they engineer the car with multiple rubber parts and not confuse the assembly people and cause dealers to stock more parts. All of those items are all the same item #. THe S will need 2 extra spark plugs, etc because of the larger engine, do not know about oil capacity differences.

I remember the BMW service guy telling me that some basic wear and tear parts are more expensive on a 335i as opposed to the 328i.
So that's where i got this weird idea.

For the E90s anyway, the 335 has a lot of unique parts. The 328i isn't turbo. The brakes on the 335 are much larger, the fuel pump has more capacity, the turbos and their associated parts, etc.
